CODE WINES focuses specifically on genetic mutation of Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay clones.

Working directly with the founders I produced their entire brand platform, from identity, to packaging and shopify ecomm site.

Inspired by the close ties between their family name and their method of farming and cellaring clones separately, scientific research papers were combed for the actual DNA (genome) of a Pinot Noir clone.

This was a text file millions of characters long, and if printed might take more than 30m of letter sized paper. So we ended up taking only the first couple hundred to use a subtle blind-embossed feature on all their labels.
